Testimonials

“The Women’s Investment Network at MetLife offers an ongoing speaker series on subjects we believe to be relevant and meaningful. We invited Carrie to come and speak on de-cluttering/procrastination and had an overwhelming response to the topic.  She got to the real heart of the problem in her presentation- you have to be honest with yourself on the effect clutter has on your life, both personally and professionally. Some points that really resonated were: don’t just file the clutter, get rid of it, and realize the message your clutter may be sending to your colleagues and management. Carrie is an engaging speaker and our participants enjoyed hearing her real life experiences with clients.  For anyone interested in this topic, Carrie delivers her message very well.”  — Sharon Gala, Associate Director, MetLife

“Oh Carrie, what a wonderfully helpful article for me!  I am sitting here surrounded by stuff, while more stuff keeps pouring in every day.  Today’s article and your newsletter in general really help put things in perspective.  You have another golden rule that I invoke frequently:  “What would I do if I didn’t have this?”  I believe the example you gave was a client who was contemplating keeping an old pair of flip flops, and realized she would just wear a different (less old) pair that she also had.

I can’t believe it’s been over 5 years since I first met you at Net Nomads, at that entrepreneurs’ meeting.   I remember when I signed up for your newsletter, you said, “You can unsubscribe if you want, I don’t take it personally,” but all these years, I haven’t.  It’s articles like today’s that keep me on your list.” — Donna E., NJ

hr

“I have just finished listening to your interview with Donna Sam. Thanks for the great tips for decluttering. Your tips of acceptance, of helping listeners to receive kind ministrations of comfort, as “Clutter has nothing to do with Stuff but everything to do with Self” (I may have paraphrased) set us on the path to continued healing in 2010. Emphasizing differences of how each of us learns is particularly helpful for those of us who struggle daily with challenges of A.D.D.

You are an inspiration! Wall Street lost a valuable asset when you left
your position there…the rest of us now reap the benefit of your move!

A grateful listener” — Susan McCoy

Thank you so much for your program, Calm the Overwhelm. It is one of the most valuable, productive programs I have ever done.  It helped me not only to organize my home and home office, but to become more organized in my activities as well.  Because of the tips and instructions, I was able to get rid of a lot of “stuff” that I no longer need.  I now have more room in my home and my home office so that the “stuff” I do use has a convenient place right where I need it.

One of the things I detest most is being late. But somehow little things would just “come up” to cause me to be late (like not being able to find my car keys or the business folder I needed to take with me).  Now, that does not happen any more after putting the instructions in your program to work.
I am more calm in my life now than I have ever been.  With my environment and activities organized so well, my mind is also more organized and peaceful.  And I like that I could download the files to my computer so I can review them and make sure I am staying on track.
Once again,  THANK YOU!, Lynn Fournier, Hilton Johnson Productions http://www.championsforhealth.com/

“All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you. You are amazing! Yesterday’s action day was great…I got so much accomplished!

After just one week of being in boot camp I get it! I now understand what the saying “you can’t organize clutter” really means and most importantly what to do about it!

During the Day of Action I worked in my office/showroom and I can’t believe I am actually going to have what I’ve always wanted….a space in there to do my own project. I always dreamed of moving to a bigger house with an extra room for me to use…little did I know that I had the room all along.  I am so excited about continuing to declutter (something I never enjoyed I’m now looking forward to!)…..what a difference a week had made….wow…I can just imagine what things will be like in a few more weeks. I can hardly wait!

I really am sooooooo happy I had the opportunity to do the Escape Your Clutter Boot Camp with you….it’s been an invaluable experience for me and worth so much more than I ever thought it would be. It has made a really big impact on me and my life!” — Helene, NJ

hr

“The Boot Camp was great! On the Day of Action a part of me dreaded getting into the stuff but I since I paid money for it and set aside the time for it I felt a sense of accountability. Besides, I really wanted it done so after the first call I got myself up & got into it and what kept me going that day were the check in phone calls. Each call helped keep me motivated and kept giving me the push I needed.

Carrie, I have to say that you are amazing.  When I think about how much you’ve put into just our group alone I can’t imagine how you do it” — Jeanne S., NJ

hr

Carrie, the questions you gave us to ask ourselves are so critical to everything and not just organizing. These questions have changed the way I think and have empowered me. I feel a lot of relief, like a weight has lifted off & it has motivated me to move more. This program pushed me in the right direction and has given me hope.” — Nora P, NJ

“I have found so many things that I had been hunting for and thrown so much crap away! I feel lighter! You should see the things that I’m driving over to Goodwill tonight. I figure that I can make someone else happy with the good stuff that I don’t need anymore.  Carrie, The boot camp has really changed my perspective and having you guide me to the real reasons why I hadn’t cleaned it up and why I needed to, helped so much. I was able to ask the questions as I went along and get rid of more than I ever could have before.  I’ve tried for years to do it myself and just could not get the motivation and support to do it. I’ve come to realize that I just can’t do it alone, I need help (which for me is hard to admit!).  Thanks for being nonjudgmental and helping me realize that I’m not alone in this process!” — Joyce J, WA

hr

“I have felt so badly all my life about my inability to clean up and clear out, I got to the point of not being able to function. Self esteem wise, I have hated that disorganized part of me all my life! To find that there is an answer is an uplifting gift you can’t put a price upon! I knew something must be out there to take me to the next step. Many thanks to you, I now have a plan to start with! Again, I thank you for your generosity of sharing yourself and your knowledge so that I can begin living a great and healthy life. I consider you one of my greatest blessings in helping to live a functional and organized life!” — Sandy Honeywell

hr

“I’m really glad that the group was here for me because the public accountability really helped me.  If it was just Carrie & me on the phone I could have easily rescheduled.  I feel really good about what I have accomplished.  My friend noticed all the progress I had made and said that it looks so open & looks different. I’m saving money because I’m shopping for things in my house and if that isn’t enough, as a side benefit the guy that I’m dating is so turned on by me getting organized too!” — Laura, IL
hr

“Carrie, thank you. You’ve inspired and helped me. You’ve made my life exciting and helped me gain possession of my life for the first time. I’m feeling very alive. I’m thinking and functioning in a new and different way & you’re the angel who delivered it.” — Elizabeth N., NY

“Today I listened to the program you did -I have ADD, Do I have to be Disorganized Too?. I wanted to tell you of all the ‘classes’ I have listened to the way this was structured and you kept on track has been one of the most helpful ones I have listened to. Thank you so much for understanding ‘our’ needs as well as you do.” — Cindy RR, FL

hr

“Carrie, the Gold VIP program has been wonderful. ADD is a tough situation and coaching, especially with you, has helped me a lot. I come to each of our calls with a sense of excitement and hope and always leave our calls with a surge of confidence and a renewed sense of strength. I know that I will be able to accomplish whatever plans we create and that they will move me towards my overall goals.

Practically speaking, the best thing about coaching has been that I have been able to learn how to help myself and learn techniques that really make sense to me. With your help, I have been able to devise new strategies that help me get through my days productively. I have created new systems to handle paperwork and bills. I have learned new ways to make decisions about the kinds of things that I need to keep in my life and the types of things that I can let go of.

Of all of the things I’ve used to help myself over all of these years having you as my coach has been the best.” — Barb R., FL

“I cannot believe how much junk I was able to clear out since Tuesday – junk, papers, e-mails, etc….I almost had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn’t dreaming. My place looks better than it has in years, and I feel like it would have taken many months to do this on my own. Now that many of my storage areas are cleared out, I actually have room to store stuff there that has been sitting out because I had no place to put it. When my space is clear around me, I’m able to think much more clearly and work more efficiently, and can really see space being made for the kind of life I want! (Not just physical space, but time and freedom.) I can also feel my self confidence starting to grow, because without piles and junk around me, I’m not constantly reminded of the habits I’ve been trying to change. Thank you so much for all you’ve helped me to accomplish in just one session!” — L.R., MN

hr

hr

“I have been trying my best to fight the chaos alone for a year. Though I’ve made some in roads, progress has been painfully slow and limited until I met you and began to see some effective approaches to achieving projects that are difficult for me. The work I’ve done in the first week with you would have taken me 4-6 months on my own if I would have thought of doing it on my own. Your questions helped me evaluate what was most important to me and to work effectively, utilizing my strengths, to make that happen.” — Barb, FL

hr

“As I look around my office I must admit, though I keep the systems well in place, I’m a freak on a daily basis. My floor is “littered’ with paper. The good news is that tomorrow it all gets “filed” somewhere. You’ve been an unbelievable asset – and, you can quote me any time.” — Joan, NJ
