I just loved your article Carrie! (and again happy happy birthday to you!)

As soon as I finished reading, the sentence that came to mind is....'super-sizing leads to overwhelm'! In this day and age, where so much is on offer, we're constantly having to down-size rather that 'super-size' and be very conscious about it! Thanks for a thought provoking read. (and loved that you said NO!)

Much love,
Louise x

P.S. Talk soon?

OMGOMGOMG! Carrie, your "supersize" analogy for getting stuck in analysis-paralysis is BRILLIANT! This may just put a whole new workable perspective on conquering this challenge for me. It gives me that "fine line" that can help me discern, in each situation, whether adding more to the project's "plate" is actually beneficial. THANK YOU! Veronica

Hey There Carriethru,
This might be off topic, however, A lot of things in our lives depend on our jobs or careers. We all have to do a daily chore for five or six days a week and 8 hours a day. We then rightfully get a regular sum of money as our income after working hard for one or two weeks. Our incomes allow us to survive in this modern-day world. This pretty much sums up the basic job or work process.
Good Job!

I love when I get a to do list written and at least mostly crossed off. Do you have a "big" to do list that has everything on it and you just move what you can/need to do 'today' onto it? I have a million things that need to be done but could never get them done in one day but if I don't write them down they get lost since I'll never remember them if I don't put them on paper. Any advice?

The story about the "check-up" vs "physical" really got to me. These days a lot of systems give you a place to provide feedback on your providers. But the big point is right - the doc should have trained his staff. It's like going to a hair salon for a color job: they always ask if it's 1 process or 2 or highlights.

A surprising number of "big name" marketers do not train their VAs in customer service and they are so insulated they don't realize what is happening.

Once I wanted to advertise in someone's ezine at the special rate but I had a question; several weeks later, a VA wrote back, saying, "Well, I guess I didn't get around to you and the special is over..."

Another time I got a message "Congratulations! You have made an affiliate sale!"
The VA wrote back, "Oh, we don't give commission on that product. I'm sure you will understand that it's a private sale."

Well, no, I don't. If you're bragging about earning a gazillion dollars and you've got VA's running around like mice, you can remember to uncheck the box for "Pay affiliate commission." And if you don't forget, you can send a compensatory gift - a small gift certificate for Amazon, for instance.

A few years ago I got so irked i wrote an ebook (and forget to raise the price - just realized)

We need to pay more attention to these issues.

Being aware of your distractions is SO important! What are you going to do during your blocked out time?

Glad this article was helpful to you.

Thanks for the great article about your Warren Buffett interview! This insightful observation and take-away is really helpful. During the last week or so I have been intentionally noticing what distracts me and how much time I spend on non-essential focus and actions that use up valuable time and energy for what I say that I really want to accomplish. I have discovered that I can use my timer and set aside a block of time that is designated to a specific outcome rather than just a hit and miss approach. All the best.
